DBCC’s Nurture with Nature Series Expands to New Castle County

By Chadeia Mitchell, Outreach and Education Coordinator/Public Ally
The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition will offer the Nurture with Nature series more often in New Castle County.  Nurture with Nature provides a fun way for survivors to connect and relieve stress through the great outdoors.
The Nurture with Nature series allows breast cancer survivors to come together and experience nature by hiking, kayaking, biking, horseback riding, astronomy, or simply walking through a forest or along a beach.  Outings occur approximately once a month throughout all of Delaware and will now take place more often in New Castle County!
Through our new partnership with the Delaware Nature Society, Nurture with Nature will take advantage of all that New Castle County has to offer. We will also offer lighter activities such as museum tours and branch out as far as Southeastern Pennsylvania. With so many options, it’s guaranteed that there will be an activity perfect for you!
We hope that you will join us in our Nurture with Nature series. We welcome all who are newly diagnosed, currently in treatment, experiencing a recurrence, or a long term survivor to join us in our Nature with Nurture series.
